Malbhog Cheera
Cheera (Flattened Rice, also called beaten rice) is dehusked rice that is flattened into flat light dry flakes. Based on different varieties of rice, the rice flakes have a particular aroma and a bland gentle test. Depending on the method of processing they can be soft or crunchy. These flake or rice swell when added to liquid whether hot or cold, as they absorb water, milk, or any other liquids. It can be consumed raw by immersing it in plain water or milk or curd with salt or sugar or jaggery for taste or lightly fried in oil. It is high in carbohydrates and low in fat. Good source of all essential vitamins and minerals including iron.
