Our story
In August 1947, while the country was finding its footing, Prabhu Dayal Khandelwal opened a small namkeen shop off Jodhpur's High Court Road. There wasn't much to it at first — a few tins of sev, some mixture, a counter that opened straight onto the street. Within three years it had earned Jodhpur's "most hygienic shop" title, an unusual thing to be known for in 1950, and a sign of how seriously the Khandelwals took the craft even then. Four generations later, under Naveen Khandelwal, that same counter has grown into 70-plus Rajasthani specialties — sev, papad, mathri, Marwari achaar — still made without palm oil or added chemicals, still weighed out with the same care a customer would have found on day one.
